There has been a great deal of speculation concerning the identity of the two witnesses that testify about the glory of HaShem and His Son, Christ Yeshua (Jesus) during the tribulation period. Who are these special witnesses, and how will we recognize them? When will they appear?

When? Well the END times began when Satan exhausted his spiritual power (1946) attempting to scatter the power of the Holy People (the Jews) (Daniel 12:7). The END times began in the next year (1947). And in 1948, the fig tree, Israel, put forth new tender shoots or leaves (Mark 13:28-30). The witnesses begin their testimony as the generation alive when the fig tree put forth tender leaves begins to die out or during the last week of the seventy (Daniel 9:27) or the Great Tribulation.

Rev 11:1 A reed like a rod was given to me. Someone said, “Rise, and measure God’s temple, and the altar, and those who worship in it.

Rev 11:2 Leave out the court which is outside of the temple, and don’t measure it, for it has been given to the nations. They will tread the holy city under foot for forty-two months.

When you see plans underway to rebuild the Temple on its former site on the Holy Mount in Jerusalem, the sun and the moon will become witnesses to the glory of God, when for 3 ½ years they perform a number of unusual functions. This is the great and terrible DAY of the LORD!

Rev 11:3 I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”

Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands, standing before the Lord of the earth.

Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of Yahweh comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.

Isa 13:10 For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.

Revelation 11:3 and Isaiah 13:10 are saying the same thing; the sun and moon are the two lamp stands, the two olive trees that produce the illuminating oil, they are the dual anointed ones who stand before the Lord of the Earth.

We learn more about these two witnesses in the Book of Zechariah. They are light givers with a relationship to the seven lamps in the temple of HaShem. Another way of saying who they are, is to say they are the two olive trees that produce the illuminating oil (the oil that lights the lamps) and they are the two lamp stands.

Zec 4:1 The angel who talked with me came again, and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.

Zec 4:2 He said to me, “What do you see?”

I said, “I have seen, and behold, a lamp stand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are on the top of it;

Zec 4:3 and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it.”

Zec 4:4 I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”

Zec 4:5 Then the angel who talked with me answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?”

I said, “No, my lord.”

Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the word of Yahweh to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies.

What does this cryptic clue mean? “Not by might or by power, but by My Spirit,” says Yahweh of Armies (Lord of Hosts). It means that even the powerful planetary bodies are servants of HaShem and they will obey His commands (Joshua 10:12-14; Habakkuk 3:11).

Zec 4:11 Then I asked him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?”

Zec 4:12 I asked him the second time, “What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that pour the golden oil out of themselves?”

Zec 4:13 He answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?”

I said, “No, my lord.”

Zec 4:14 Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord^[1] of the whole earth.”

Literally, these are the couple or duality of the sun and moon, or the male to rule the day, female to rule the night; these two witnesses arise by the authority of or because of the Lord of the earth (Jeremiah 31:35; Psalm 147:4; Genesis 37:9; Job 9:7; Psalm 8:3; Psalm 148:3. Even the sun, moon, and stars are simply witnesses or servants of the glory of the Creator!

Rev 11:5 If anyone desires to harm them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies. If anyone desires to harm them, he must be killed in this way.

Rev 11:6 These have the power to shut up the sky, that it may not rain during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters, to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

Rev 11:7 When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.

The Lord, Christ Yeshua (Jesus), the Lamb of God who was slain (spiritually) from the foundation of the world, was also crucified in Sodom and Egypt (because of their great sin).

Rev 11:8 Their dead bodies will be in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

Rev 11:9 From among the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations people will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.

Rev 11:10 Those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

After 3 ½ days (of one year each) they sun and moon return to life and their former brightness.

Rev 11:11 After the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. Great fear fell on those who saw them.

Rev 11:12 I heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” They went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies saw them.

What are your thoughts?

Today I picked up our daughter from school with a fever of 101. She was red cheeked and uncharacteristically lethargic. I held her when she complained first of being hot, then cold.  I couldn’t make the fever go away but I wanted her to know, that whatever she was going through, at least I was with her. I cared.

As I soothed her by playing in her long hair, I felt the longing to SAVE her, not only from sickness and human frailties, human cruelty or suffering, but to introduce her to Christ Yeshua, her Savior. She has seen me pray to Yeshua, read the Bible each day. Even more amazing, she met Yeshua when He visited our home in answer to my prayers that He bring me greater understanding of His word (especially the book of Daniel) so I might help warn His children and prepare them to face the time of Great (or Jacob’s) trouble.

We are all so busy. Who makes time to listen to G_d? How many of you invite Him to guide your thoughts and actions each day? How many of you seek His will for your life in stillness before Him?

Yet each person must be drawn from within by the Father to be saved.  Each person must make the conscious personal decision to invite Christ to become Lord of their heart, Lord of their mind, Lord of their body, Lord of their ALL.

Holding my daughter as the fever weakened her, I felt this deep desire to know that she was saved.  I want to know that all of my children are saved; I want to be certain they have been buried with Yeshua through baptism, raised with Him from the dead; hidden with Him in heaven. I want to know my family is saved.

I would rejoice if every person everywhere were saved. So would the Father. But the Father cannot allow us to reach for the fruit of the tree of Life and live forever, if we also deny Christ, if we also choose to follow and walk in the darkness.

As Michael, I can drive out Satan and bind his demons, but even an archangel cannot save you.  You need to believe in and accept Christ Yeshua (Jesus); you need to confess your sins and ask Yeshua to change you, tranform you from the inside, into a child of light. There is only one name under heaven, faith in which brings eternal Life. That name is Christ Yeshua or Christ Jesus.

I suppose the first lesson I learn from Scripture and the panoramic patience involved in HaShem’s (G_d’s) plan for salvation is that Love is deeper than time, space, sin, deeper and stronger than despair, darkness, illness, greater than death. G_d is Love.

One unique quality of an archangel, even while dwelling in a physical temple, is the capacity to feel what the Father feels. The Father hurts for us, grieves over us. The Father wants us to choose Life. But He will not force us.

The Father of Lights wants to save us from death, self-destruction, from sin. He Himself came down from heaven to provide the Way home. All we have to do is believe in Messiah, Christ Yeshua, and we are ALREADY saved!

I know all too well that the entire world is about to spin hopelessly out of balance, as the Roadmap or ‘peace and safety (or security)’ agreements are confirmed by Tsar Antichrist Putin and the Quartet.  HaShem says that the abomination that makes desolate was set up on a wing of His temple, Israel (in Gaza).

The land HaShem promised to Jacob’s descendents forever cannot be settled by Essau. HaShem will strike at the ‘Roadmap’. The seven-year agreement confirming the covenant or pact with sheol (with the Jews or the Many) will be broken half way through, unleashing the great Tribulation.

It pains me that I cannot protect you (any of you,  all of you) from what is about to happen. YOU must awaken. It is your choice to continue asleep in the Adam dream of sin and suffering or be awakened to the Light. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

It is very difficult to realize that I cannot even save the people closest to me, in spite of all the power HaShem entrusts to me. My faith can only save me. You must believe in Yeshua, in Jesus. You alone can save yourself.

How many times would Christ have gathered us up as little chicks to proctect us, but we would not come to Him? I want my wife, our sons, and our daughter to be safe, but there is no safety apart from the faith in Christ Yeshua that brings eternal Life. The material world is full of tribulation and suffering, always ending in death; this material realm was dominated by the prince of this world for so many centuries. At the cross the Lamb of God bruised the serpent’s head.

Only in Yeshua is Life; only in Jesus is safety. Learn from Job; we cannot protect the body, our families or our possessions. In this world we have suffering and tribulation. But take heart! Christ Yeshua has overcome the world. Trust Yeshua.

Who better to place your faith in, to rest your hope in eternal Life upon? He never told a single untruth. He never commited a single sinful or selfish act against another person. Trust Yeshua. Give up your own flawed concept of life, turn from sin and find rest in Christ. Then take up your cross (crucify the deeds of the carnal man or woman) and follow Yeshua.

Are you a child of the Light by virtue of believing and following in the Life and footsteps of Christ Yeshua? What will you answer the Father? He is still holding out His arms in the hope that we come to Him through Christ Yeshua.  The Father cannot call to us forever. The door to the wedding feast will soon close. Outside there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Please don’t disappoint Him.
