The leopard is Germany - Nazi - National Socialist. The bear is Russia - The Soviets. The lion is Britain - Darwin theory is the "scientific" basis for the atheist socialists. Europa in Greek myth is the daughter of Oceania; and Europe is surrounded by oceans. Leopard, the emblem of Germany, is known for its speed; so was the Nazi army. Bear, we all know it represents Russia. Lion, the emblem of Britain, is known for its roaring which denotes the power of the propaganda of the Left. Communist China is the beast out of the earth (v.11). The beast is supposed to speak like the dragon which happens to be the emblem of Red China; it has horns (power) like sheep. The fact that the Bible has described it into forms of ny other animal, indicates that this beast masquerades effectively to cheat the world. Earth, Asia is the largest land mass of all the continents. The second beast received authority from the first beast(v.12). Chinese Communists started as mere acolytes of the Soviets. Unlike the first beast which used military power to conquer nations, this second beast uses "buy and sell" to subdue others to abide by its policies and agenda(v.16-17). This is evidently permeating in every corner of the world. Verse 17 clearly states "the number of his name". It must not be the number of a date, or anything else, for the matter. "Forehead" in the chapter indicates thinking or thoughts, and "right hand", action or deeds. Too many people have been too high-tech minded to think that the "seal" is a micro chip planted on the forehead or the hand. Chapter 7 has a mention of putting "seals on the foreheads of the servants of our God". It refers to true "believers", not that God would implant chips on Christians for identification. As to "the number of his name", many have been confused by the phrase in v.18 - "for it is man's number"(NIV) and "for it is the number of a man"(KJV). According to the Greek text, the NIV translation is more accurate because while it is singular word of "man" it does not say "a man". I think it's possible that some translators, particularly in the old days, presumed that Jesus was a God man, so would the beast be a Devil man. Remember the movie "The Omen"? It was so distorted that "he" must come from a powerful family and bear a mark of "666" on the top of his head (underneath the hair!). "Man's number" really means the number is artificial and not natural, or man-made not God-given. "Chinese Communist" is the name of the atheist socialist Party in Red China. This name in Chinese language and written in Communist China's "modified (simplified)" manner has 6 strokes each of the three Chinese words - ? ? ?. Without the Communist's own modification, the three words by tradition would be ? ? ? which has strokes of 12 6 11 remote from the Bible's predication. But, as if it was destined, these atheist communist human beings have altered the writing of the name of the criminal regime so as to bear the number of 666. Why doesn't man see it? For it is a wolf in sheep's skin, a stealth beast as the Bible has indicated.
